KYOCERA Document Solutions Receives the 2014 Blue Angel Award

Meerbusch, Germany – December 5, 2014 –KYOCERA Document Solutions Deutschland GmbH has been awarded the Blue Angel 2014 sustainability award. The jury in particular praised the Japanese manufacturer's commitment to constantly improving its laser printers, which was the decisive factor in selecting a candidate.

The jury named the winner of the third "Blue Angel" award in Dusseldorf last week. Reinhold Schlierkamp, Managing Director of KYOCERA Document Solutions Germany, accepted the award from Maria Krautzberger, President of the Federal Environment Agency.

UBA President Krautzberger commends the company's pioneering role

During her speech at the German sustainability awards ceremony, Maria Krautzberger applauded the Japanese manufacturer's commitment to protect the environment and protect health: "With its environmentally friendly innovations, KYOCERA is a pioneer in the sector. Many of the company's products comply with the label's high environmental standards. It also contributes to the Blue Angel's quality criteria", she said.

KYOCERA has been Blue Angel certified since 1997

In 1997, KYOCERA was the first producer to meet the Blue Angel's demanding certification guidelines. Ever since, many of its products have received the coveted environmental label: around 50 systems are currently Blue Angel certified.

"We are very proud to receive the Blue Angel Award", commented Detlef Herb, Environmental and Product Safety Manager at KYOCERA Document Solutions Germany, who has managed the certification process for 17 years. He added: "The Blue Angel has contributed to providing the public with information and its strict guidelines help guarantee the high quality of laser printers. Environmental protection and sustainability are integral elements of our corporate philosophy and we are constantly developing our products in terms of environmental compatibility. We also support sustainable innovations as part of the KYOCERA environmental prize, which has been awarded by jury chairman Dr. Töpfer four consecutive times."

Sindoh, Korea’s largest Office Automation Manufacturer launches in South Africa

Johannesburg, South Africa – October,30, 2014; Sindoh Africa hosted an exclusive launch at the Crowne Plaza in Rosebank on 21 October 2014 to introduce the Sindoh brand, Korea's largest Office Automation Manufacturer to the many interested dealers and distributors that were in attendance.

The line-up included a welcome and product overview from the Sindoh Africa team and keynote address from Mr. Kenny Oh, product specialist from Sindoh in Korea, followed by a product demonstration, giving the delegates an opportunity to try, test and experience Sindoh's exciting product range for themselves.

Of particular interest was the M403 compact A4 MFPs with A3 capability, which provide up to 38 page-per-minute printing output, has a smaller base footprint as well as the ability to fax, copy, and scan in A3 as well as in A4. This innovative functionality resulted in Sindoh winning major prizes such as the iF Product Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award, and the Good Design Award.

Page Automation exhibits SmartSlip at the 2014 SAPA conference

Page Automation exhibited SmartSlip at the South Africa Payroll Association (SAPA) Conference which was held in Cape Town at the Fire & Ice Protea Hotel on 29th July, Durban at the SunCoast Casino on 30th July and in Johannesburg at Emperors Palace on 6 & 7 August. The theme of this annual prestigious event was 'The changing face of Payroll'. This event attracts payroll professionals from companies affiliated with SAPA and is the vehicle to showcase the SAPA Awards which honours the leading payroll professionals in the industry.

The conference was the perfect platform to meet HR executives and demonstrate SmartSlip to these decision makers that are looking for new HR and payroll technologies.

Each of the exhibiting companies was given a few minutes to introduce themselves to the delegates prior to the conference. We were pleased with the opportunity to introduce Page Automation and to give an overview of the SmartSlip product. During the breaks the delegates had the opportunity to network and visit the exhibitor's tables.
